Wrench Group Leaders Featured on “Legends Panel” Podcast from Major Industry Conference
Wrench Group CEO Ken Haines and Paul Kelly, Wrench Group Regional Executive-Southwest, were both recently featured on the “Legends Panel” at the 2023 RynoX Service Summit, one of the most influential collection of leaders in the home services industry.
The panel, which included four other longtime industry founders and executives, was recorded and released as a special edition of the “To The Point” podcast, which can be heard here: https://rynoss.com/podcast/episode-160-rynox-2023-legends-panel/.
During the session, Haines and Kelly, along with the other panelists, discussed what’s influenced their careers in home services, how they identify leaders and successful businesses, overcoming obstacles to growth, and other hot-button topics facing the industry.
Early in the episode, Haines discussed his start in the industry and what makes him the proudest as CEO of Wrench Group.
“At an early age, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur, so I figured the way in was to learn the trade first…” he said. “I never dreamed we’d be where we are today… but what I’m most proud of—and growth has allowed this to happen—is that we’ve created scores of millionaires in our business. These are rank-and-file managers, service managers, accounting managers, customer service representatives, etc., who are doing the work day in and day out, that have come on this journey with us.”
Later in the panel, Kelly, responding to a question about the most important hire he’s made in his career, cited Parker and Sons’ President Daryl Bingham as a catalyst for that company’s recent growth.
“He enabled us to grow at a faster pace, when you get that person that elevates your business, it kickstarts things into gear and you can run much faster,” Kelly said.
The podcast episode can also be heard on popular streaming podcast platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and iHeart Radio.
